It isn't a good thing at all. Colleges/Universities are supposed to provide information on as much as possible and let the student form their own opinions/thoughts/ideas. These conclusions by the student should be commented and questioned by the professor and other students. This is the evolution of learning. Simply removing a major aspect of Political belief is never a good idea. How can you learn from something you know nothing about?

Also, if the government is removing something it's often because that's what they want to do.
