SAGE on the chans means to write a reply to a thread without bumping it to the top of the other forum posts, if you understand how bumping works. Putting SAGE in the options field of your comment reply allows you to comment in a thread without bumping it.

Auto sage would mean that posts were being marked as sage without the owner of the comment manually typing SAGE into the option field, meaning the posts that commenters make wouldn't bump the thread back to the top.

Go to the chans, read the posts, but look at the memes. The memes change the context, a lot. The memes allow for the expression of their emotions in the post. A post does not convey facial expressions, hence the memes. Those do. But they also add context.

An algorithm can not figure out a meme, and never will. The memes are amazing. Want to determine if a poster is a boomer or not? Post certain anime and video game references. unless that boomer plays a lot of video games, then they will not get it.

that's how to post without bumping. sliding is posting a few new threads that get meaningless activity while bumping old threads. the thread that is being slid is now below the new thread and the bumped old threads. if the slider-shill can cool the thread off, then it can get moved down the catalog by continued bumping of old threads. a noob slider will show their intent too strongly and you can watch the slide. subtle sliders will work hard early and then continue to work over days on a thread.
