Perth Observer has the same thought (video) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KFHEXAKSWpE

... however, out west when you see forest land that had fire in recent years the charred trees are hop and skip location. Acres of damaged trees or half trees with their tops missing and lush untouched areas between burn spots where the flames "jumped".

blogged about Perth's question - why didn't they call in the military to fight the fire? https://flyingcuttlefish.wordpress.com/2018/11/11/ca-burning/

Democrats. When they can't balance their socialist budgets. An easy way to get federal funds.

Btw: Houses are dry wood. Trees & shrubs have water content.

and another thing ... out west ... that desert grass is different than your lawn grass. It has very deep roots that all connect underground. So a fire can start in one spot and seem put out. But those roots smolder like a coal seam and burn invisibly underground. Then the fire, from the roots can flare up a quarter mile away.

Another fire spreader, pointed out often on tv, is the flying embers rain down far away and start fires.

Now.... if we start to see melted engine blocks like in Alberta and Greece with standing tree trunks nearby ....

isnt it odd how this sort of thing only happens in liberal controlled areas. BC up here in canada has seen suspicious burning and fires too
