So what did the gov't get out of the deal? Who has been implicated in ANYTHING dealing with this creature?

Just like all of the immunity deals in the HRC scandals, nothing (of real value) has happened in any of these deals because the government officials are the dirty ones and they cut deals so their names won't be mentioned.
