Get off the SSRIs, and any and all medications for mood related disorders (other than lithium if you are clinically bipolar, meaning you have clinical manic episodes per the DSM, not just "ups and downs"). Only take anxiety meds if you absolutely have to, and only temporarily, like opiates, otherwise avoid like the plague. Single mothers giving their kids ritalin instead of parenting is a crime. ADD is a hoax. Behavior therapy, philosophy, changing your irrational and unhelpful beliefs is your best bet. Nobody gets rich of you doing it yourself. Take some accountability for your own reactions and emotional responses to things happening that you don't like. DM me if you like, I have resources about this for days.

Fick off with yor bullshit. ADHD and other disorders exist. Lithium is a drug of last resort for BP1&2, and requires regular blood tests to ensure its not causing more harm then good. Over diagnosis doesn't mean that real people don't have real medical conditions.

Sure dude. Depression & anxiety exist... just like high energy and low focus exists... you are not fixing anything by treating symptoms with medication. SSRIs and pills for depression is the Rockefeller disease management system. They literally don't have the science to back up the effectiveness of anti-depressants over the control group, not to mention the side effects. Quit being cattle. I do agree with you on Lithium.

It's time to treat SSRIs as what they are, a medication, a drug, a psychoactive substance. Stop prescribing it because some mommy is just stressed with kids. Use it for people with actual depression, people's who brains are physiologically different, who don't produce enough serotonin. Not some person that just needs to suck it up.

I'm an SSRI b/c I'm an Autist with autist related depression. I can stop taking them without any withdrawal effects, unfortunately other people aren't as fortunate and can never stop them.

oy vey hand out the Rohypnol

SmackNotes

These also cause sexual dysfunction and in my opinion are one of the main reasons for Americans not having babies. I personally feel like that was an intended design and the reason for overprescribing.

Trash_Panda

It's spiritual warfare. Psychotropic drugs destroy your brain and make it more difficult to experience mystical union with God.

GritD2

We are only asking for common sense drug control.

Did any of those doctors celebrate Hanukkah?

DrPenguin

I Take SSRIs. I have for 15 years. I can't stop. I've tried. I didn't need them in college, when they were prescribed, I needed to quit drinking so much. Now I'm totally dependant. They don't create violence in people, they dull feelings and emotions. But feelings and emotions are what keep decency. Not feeling love, sympathy, guilt, regret, and shame, is a dangerous combination for a young mind

dawnbandit1

Try switching to bupropion, it's an atypical antidepressant without the mind-numbing properties some people have with SSRIs. Take that until you've been weened of your SSRI for 1-2 months.

Food_Stamp

Dulling someones feelings and emotions seems like the perfect way to create mass murderers.

And anxiety drugs make uninhibited sluts out of girls with anxiety.

You may still be able to get off of them but expect it to take a long time (you want to come off slowly).

I was on them for 3 years, I know not as long as you have, but i was able to start gradually losing my dose. I was on 10mg a day. I started by cutting off 1/4 of the tablet with a razor blade. I took that for 3iah month, then went down to half for 3 etc. when I got down to 1/4 I cut that down on half. So in the end, I was on a sliver of a dose for 6 months, waited post holidays, then stopped.

There were withdraws, and some I have today 5 years later. The first few weeks were a lot of headaches. After that it was brain buzzes or vibrations. You will notice a lot of odd sensations in other parts of your body. A doctor who was anti-ssris told me it’s my brain reactivating parts dulled by the drug. I had to relearn coping skills. A lot happened in that 3 years and instead of learning from those experiences, they kinda got shuffled away.

You will feel new joy. I had a strong indifferent feeling the entire time. That went away after a year.

Tb0n3

It very well could just be a coincidence due to the SSRIs being extremely common.

That sounds like something a Jew would say

Could also be that they are mentally ill, and take ssri's because of being mentally ill, not that the drugs turned them into mass murderers. But, ssri's can cause suicidal thoughts - especially in young people - so maybe they can also cause homicidal thoughts.

theoldones

nope. every mass shooter since columbine has had a single mother and took prescription drugs.
