Don't use imgur, faggot.

I won't, if you five me a good reason why, 'faggot'

matthew--

Because they are a pro censorship group of fat cunts. Case in point: http://www.reaxxion.com/9552/reddit-and-imgur-staff-team-up-to-shut-down-the-fat-people-hate-subreddit

The website sucks on mobile, and has trackers up the ass, which is why it takes so long to load the fucking thing. It's basically Facebook level of mining your personal information.

Every time an alternative image host gets enough traction. It's flooded with CP, and gets shut down. Just a coincidence that this doesn't happen to imgur, eh?

There already plenty of alternate hosts, including picinfinity, that are still up despite attacks to bring the down. Give them your business, don't support a company Like imgur that - of they had their way - would shut down voat in a heart beat because "hate speech".

Your profile says you've been here for over a year, you should know this shit by now.

Thanks. Some interesting points there. Yes, I knew of the imgtc and imgoat recommendation but not specifically why. I am on Gab and Minds, and Diaspora, always search on DuckDuckGo, Startpage and sometimes Qwant, use Protonmail, Zoho and the no longer so good OpenMailBox. So some of your topics are familiar concerns to me. Others are not as big to me. I have the BitChute app for Android, and sometimes watch videos there from some of the people I follow, also subscribe to a Voat channel there... But I am also using YouTube, and was never too concerned with the HookTube thing, although I did post via it when sharing YT videos here.

The one and only reason I use Imgur, don't have an account there or anything, is they have an app which I have had for a long time, which allows easy share of images from my phone, two clicks to get a link, on social networking sites and similar where one can't embed/upload directly. To be honest, this convenience trumps any data surrendering that might follow from using Imgur, to me. I will look for imgtc and imgoat Android apps that allow as convenient sharing, although I seem to recall having looked for that in the past. If I find it, I will start using one of those or maybe some similar Imgur alternative. If not, then your arguments will not be enough reason in themselves, for me to switch. Merry Christmas 🎄
