Do you not know what LinkedIn is? Lol. It's essentially an online identity for future employers to look at if they want to know more about someone applying. Of course they would ask to see your ID if you forgot your password. It isn't a place to go to make an anonymous account, it'd be entirely useless and would defeat the entire purpose of the service.

If you're trying to get the highest paid job it's important to get a few more opportunities for different interviews / job possibilities but you should delete or make your account private afterwards.

Well duh, obviously! They're owned by microsoft.

Lol I'm just going to take a shot in the dark and guess you're one of those Linux users who autistically screech how evil Microsoft is for collecting basic diagnostics data like every other company in the world, but own a smartphone, use google services that collect a mountain of actual personal information compared to Microsoft's mole hill of diagnostics information only, and the smartphone is most likely android, owned and developed by Google. Guessing by your username, I'm pretty confident I was right about the smartphone.

No way man, I'm way worse. I've been one of those even more obnoxious UNIX users who found Microsoft products to be interesting curiosities but then never understood exactly how some of their shittier stuff ever caught on so sensationally. Then, throughout the years, Microsoft has demonstrated it's disdain for all but profits... I still bought their junk when it looked interesting, useful, or amusing.

Like XP: I liked XP well enough. I thought that they kind of finally made something at least generally useful and had perhaps changed their ways. Once Vista hit the scene, I promised to excise that cancer from my business and my home.

Stupid fucking google, stealing my name... I should sue their faggot asses. But yeah, I do use stupid android just because I don't like Apple iOS.

That's good. Can't stand the hypocrites that call Microsoft evil, then turn around and worship Google. The lack of self awareness is astounding.

lord_nougat

Well, kids will be kids; and it doesn't seem all that long ago that google still seemed like the good guys fighting the good fight.

We're all a little lacking in self awareness in one thing or another, it's part of what keeps life interesting with constant self-improvement.

lord_nougat

Ooh, I need to procure some spare hardware to play with these!

I like the 'longevity' section on lineageos's site with the rotating phone swastika!

NoRagrets

Haha, hadn't seen that before, awesome.
