Catherine was the Asst. Secty. for Housing/Fed. Housing Commissioner under George HW Bush. Her brilliant idea was to get HUD out of the red by redesigning them from the urban blight they were into beautiful complexes. She had parks added, as well as lights, libraries. Residents began to take pride in living there. Crime went down, kids completed high school.

Instead of being rewarded, she was chastised. Eventually someone in the know confessed to her the government wanted the projects to be in the red since they used the money for black ops.

She is correct when she says it is up to Americans to fix the problem, not the government. We need to spread the word and let our Congresscritters know we want changes.
