it's kind of true though - can't wait to burn some fuckers toast from a thousand km away

How is this going to censor anything? Voat, reddit, etc.. have absolutely nothing to do with the internet of things. The internet of things is where people are trying to connect things to the internet, like your refrigerator, coffee maker or car. They call it a "hacker's paradise" because the more things that are connected, the more things that can be hacked in to, etc..

The 3,000 page bill they create will only be vaguely connected to the perceived threat that they have promoted in the MSM. With that bill they can attempt to regulate content on non-mainstream news sources.

It is like you are being willfully ignorant if you don't see how the game works yet.

Yup. Additionally, many IoT creators don't even bother using basic security since they figure its not a big deal if someone hacks your toaster. They don't realize that these devices can be used as relays and pivots and are very useful for hackers.

so what....hackers....feel free to use my toaster.

  1. Label something as evil

  2. Show examples of how it's used for evil

  3. Create legislation to 'protect the children' from this 'evil'

Haven't you been paying attention?

Anonymous seems to be the establishment's attempt to co-opt leadership of internet-led opposition. It is also useful for them in the context of this promotion of internet regulation.

They never stop their games.
