  • First off, pay for a reputable VPN. It's not perfect, but it's a good start.

  • Ditch browsers that track you - Microsoft, Google, Firefox.

  • Stop using Facebook for anything serious.

  • Use encrypted messaging. Signal for texts is a good start. There are other good encryption programs.

  • Get away from Microsoft Windows and Apple. There are good Linux distros to use.

  • Switch to an encrypted email like Tutanota. Stop using Gmail for personal info other than shopping.
