Those of us of a certain age understand that measles and chicken pox are no big deal. We all had them as children -- not just a few of us, all of us. It was a rite of passage into adulthood. You got the full range of childhood diseases. And it was no big deal. Vaccinations, on the other hand, introduce powerful foreign substances into your bloodstream that can compromise your natural immune system, or even poison you. It makes sense to avoid them wherever humanly possible.

Anytime you introduce an antibiotic or vaccine into living systems then the organisms that survive such treatment may produce offspring that have the same tolerance.

These bugs have been around a long time. They survive just due to numbers and luck.
