He's trying to say the shooting was the result of Islamophobic propaganda that resulted after 9/11.

The shooting was in response to Muslims acting like they own the land and women of whichever country they settle in.

Maybe destroying at least 5 muslim majority countries and killing hundreds of thousands of people and creating millions of refugees has something to do with the refugee crisis? ...Just maybe, no?
