There is no doubt that Twitter is as shitty as they come, but I wouldn’t discount the possibility that this occurance has more to do with outside groups like MediaMatters/ShareBlue. Countering Trump’s tweets directly has to be fairly high on the far-left activist group agenda. I would almost be surprised if these functions weren’t routinely well-staffed and/or automated by multiple organizations.
