Speeding is the same kind of bullshit. Going fast in and of itself is not certain to end in injury or property damage. Keep in mind, too, that the Eisenhower Interstate System was designed such that the cars of the day (that is, late 50s and early 60s sedans that weighed six or seven thousand pounds, were thirty feet long, had mechanical steering and four wheel mechanical brakes) should be able to comfortably do 100MPH.

The overall design of our interstates still hold true to that design, and they have us all riding each others asses at 70 and jockeying for position.

The guy was being a complete fool,1 should of just taken the ticket,2 the cop the one who stopped him was being very cool,3 when he was told he was being arrested,you shouldn't try to attack the cop 4,the lady should of tasered him,but hell you got a huge silverback acting a fool,you gotta do what you gotta do...he will sue,she'll keep her pension and get her stripes from capping a stupid civilian. And if they do fire her another cop shop will hire her.

1) guy didn't die.

2) officer blood, the woman, lost her job and is facing charges of assault.

3) guy was a convicted felon who attacked someone with a baseball bat.

She would have been completely justified in using her taser after the guy body slammed the officer. Unfortunately she screwed up big time by drawing her pistol instead of the taser, yelling taser repeatedly, pressing the gun to his shoulder and firing. You can tell it was a genuine mistake.

I'm sure she will plead down to a lesser charge and never serve as a peace officer again.
