To my knowledge, Manning approached Wikileaks, and Assange simply encouraged him to keep giving him more. That's not a crime. It's journalism. Hell, the "investigative" journalists go way beyond anything like that to manufacture their stories. Assange didn't tell Manning how to hack a computer, help him do it, or anything like that.

I have zero obligation to honor the laws of foreign countries. I'm an American, and I'm in America. I have an obligation to follow American law. I'm perfectly free to ask a North Korean or a Cuban for classified data from their country as long as doing so doesn't violate American law. Now, if one of those other countries happens to have a law about that sort of thing then it really isn't my problem.

Refusing to testify is retarded because Manning obviously knows nothing that hasn't already been found out. Manning should have just told the grand jury what they already know, and weasel worded their way around questions seeking non-factual or subjective answers.

Right now he's being held in contempt for refusing to testify. If he testified, appeared to be cooperative, and didn't contradict himself then Manning could have told them nothing and gotten away with it.
