They were being chased and refused to pull over. That's a bit of a misleading headline there.

Does anyone know how many unarmed civilians have been shot by idiot cops this year? How many cops have been shot by idiotic crooks? Not good...

" Unarmed civilians?" Surely part of every cops uniform is at least a knife they can drop next to the body

"Unarmed civilians" = why draw a gun on a pregnant lady and the guy driving her to the hospital? What a moronic cop. Hope they pull his badge and his pension.

Getting a gun pointed in one's face is part of the de facto punishment for any reckless driving. Probably taught at the police academy. One student acts like the reckless driver, one police recruit is tested on their traffic stop, they run the plates, instructor says the car is or is not stolen, they cop approaches the vehicle, instructor says "bang, you're dead. A passenger laying in the back seat shot you before you even knew they were there. You're supposed to always approach every reckless driver with your gun drawn because you never know. Cops have died before that way."

The recruit who replies, "but if I didn't see the passenger, then having my gun drawn wouldn't have saved me, because my gun doesn't let me see any better." Later fails the psycho evaluation or some subjective tests to cull those that can't obey authority. After all, obeying authority is about how one behaves when one does not agree with authority, like free speech is about protecting speech one does not agree with.
