No way I'm taking the blue pill now, IN TOO DEEP!!!

the_sharpest_knife

Anyone who knows about Tonkin and thinks conspiracy theories are for crackpots is willfully living a lie.

lorlipone

There's really no going back once you see.

Turd_Coat

hahaha titties

Diggernicks

Imma tighten up my tinfoil condom

Just to be safe

blackguard19

And, in my experience all conspiracy theories are either true or have some strong element of truth to them.

the_sharpest_knife

Not all of them. Some of them are thrown in the mix by the CIA.

blackguard19

I bet whatever you’re talking about still has a strong element of truth, like I said. Which one are you talking about — and how do you trace it to that specific organization?

the_sharpest_knife

Flat earth mainly.

blackguard19

That’s a really badly written, contradictory, and ignorant article. He makes 2 lists, one of things the government doesn’t care about and another of theories they don’t like. The problem is, Flat Earth theory should clearly go on the second list. It’s the most heavily censored topic on the Internet other than Holocaust revisionism and terror hoaxes. YouTube actively hides Flat Earth videos.

He also doesn’t do anything to trace it to any intelligence organization. Just mentions Cass Sunstein.

He says you have to do a lot of math and stuff to disprove it but doesn’t do any math or do anything else to disprove it.

Also, he doesn’t comment on the moon landings or anything else NASA did. If someone thinks the moon landings were real they have no business commenting on Flat Earth.

It’s not some psy-op. People have believed the earth to be not a spinning ball for thousands of years. It got more popular online circa 2015 when DuBay published the first book about it in a long time.

And dinosaurs are fake.

That guy uses a lot of logical fallacies and makes some assertions, but fails to make any arguments against Flat Earth theory.

the_sharpest_knife

Go get a weather baloon and a camera.

blackguard19

How high does a weather balloon go? Even according to Neil Tyson you can’t see curvature from as high as 120,000 feet.

the_sharpest_knife

You have access to the entire internet. Neil Tyson is a science promoter who lied about his experience with Carl Sagan. Don't take anything that retard says as science.

Birdbrain

Not all. Some are just disinformation, and some are pure bullshit to divide. Take the concave, and flat earth fuckers for evidence of the later.

blackguard19

You think the moon landings were real or something?

Birdbrain

You must be one of the flat earthers.

LDIP

The moon landing and flat Earth are very different. The moon landing has alot of actual research done to find the truth and there are many reasons why it would have been faked (not implying it was). While flat Earth has no proofs or actual evidence, they just tell you to use common sense.

cthulian_axioms

Common sense infers pretty fucking clearly that in a three-dimensional space, matter ought to congeal into spheres, not discs. We do not live in Flatland. Look at the Moon -- She's roughly spherical, right? Why should the Earth be any different?

LDIP

Agreed, it's a low class theory surrounded by idiots

cthulian_axioms

Good flake filter, though.

Ask someone "what's your vibe on the flat earth theory?" and in a short while you'll have the measure of them.

I asked some dude that at a recent wedding I went to, and he failed miserably.

trseeker

And disinformation is usually just a twist on the actual truth to maintain highest believability.

moarzor

The conspiracy of conspiracy theories.

jewsbadnews

Was thinking about that last night with the Moon Landing. Why would people think that if their wasn't some fishy stuff about it? Or was that Soviet propaganda? I have seen some footage from conspiracy video and it did look off.

RicardoBronson

Honestly it's hard, especially lately, to find the "good" moon landing conspiracy videos, because the crappy ones with easily refutable claims are the more popular ones. Also youtube censors the crap out of everything now. But when you find a gem of a moon landing video... wew lad. I mention videos because that's where I found the real doosies

TheAntiZealot

Still have access to them?

RicardoBronson

Funny you should ask, no, I spend time about once or twice a year searching youtube for the really good one that I saw about 8-9 years ago and I can't ever find it. It's really special because it doesn't just show the moon models / camera track but also shows a crane pulling up a LEM. The movement is identical to what the official NASA video of the LEM taking off shows. I think it's been memory holed. I haven't found a single video of that crane at all when looking.

TheAntiZealot

Makes ya wish you invested in a harddrive way back, eh?
