But surely this police department is using the highest quality of dash cameras that money can buy!

You're correct, I've heard no one suggest how this 'editing' proves murder. But logical analysis is not the strong suit of r/conspiracy .

The killed her and now they are lying and attempting to obstruct justice. I am white...it is obvious what is happening even to me.

As I posted in other threads about this, I'm hesitant to assume that this video was definitely edited to deceive.

I own a dash cam and most of the reason is protection from police misconduct. Many models record in 5 minute chunks with a little overlap at the beginning and end.

Reassembly of the video might reveal issues like in the video.

My two main issues with the conspiracy to deceive with editing are:

Who would cut this video together with such obvious overlaps if the idea was to hide something?

Also, what could they possibly be hiding? This video is extremely damning, so unless the police killed get on the dude of the road, I can't imagine what is missing. And the artifacts indicate extra footage, not missing. Sure, they couldn't pasted over something bad with a few seconds of repeated footage, but why do it with something so obvious?

gabeh73

They seem to be lying anyway and they seem to have murdered someone....lets just ignore this additional lie and assume they are telling the truth. /sarcoff

I think there's already plenty of evidence to charge the officer.

Much better video coverup could be done even by amateurs, as I'm sure happens all the time.

gabeh73

well...looks like he will just have paid vacation administrative leave as is customary when cops decide to beat and kill innocent people and then lie about it and have the entire police force administration lie about it as well.

creflo

Well, to be fair, you can't fire an officer without due process which takes time. And taking them off the street without pay isn't fair until it's been proven.

At least that's the union perspective.

gabeh73

to be fair...lock him up in cell until he is cleared of murder. Right now he is the #1 suspect and was it fair that she was kidnapped under false pretenses? Cop tailgates her and the arrests her when she pulls over hurriedly in a way he didn't approve of? He should be arrested for tailgating it seems if we were being fair.

So this is the video that has been released to the public. I REALLY hope this is not the video that will be submitted for trial, because it is blatantly edited. Aside from the points the article mentions, the audio is clearly out of synch by the end of the video. We can hear the officer get in and out of the car and the ambulance drive up minutes before they actually show up on the video track.

Some have tried to pass it off as just a glitch in the capture process from the camera to the computer, but if that were the case, the audio would be as much of a mess as the video and that is clearly not the case.

The whole thing is just a mess. It has to be a joke, like, they're just trolling everyone, right?

EDIT: The Texas Dept. of Public Safety has said they are going to ' look into it '

Jameen

If it has been edited then someone in the media (an editor perhaps) will notice it like a sore thumb and hopefully it will be made public. Then maybe there is one for public and another for trial/court?

BeerBaron

It's clearly been edited, you don't need any formal training to notice it. Cars literally disappear in the middle of the street, the same car can be seen again and again and again making the same turn all the while, the audio continues to 'record' without incident?

They're called 'jump cuts' in the biz, and first year students get ripped apart for having them. That's why I'm having such a difficult time with this thing. They HAVE to be trolling, because... wtf?

Considering the FBI is now involved in the investigation of what happened I am just stunned that this mockery would even be released in any capacity. Some news agencies have already reported the videos release and are just reporting on the audio but nothing on the fact that the video itself is CLEARLY edited .. I'm truly dumbfounded by this.

EDIT: Some news agencies have begun speculating on the authenticity of the video.
