What's worse, all browsers are switching or are using the Chromium base... Brave, Dissenter, Iridium...

And Firefox as a company is cucked. There's literally nothing good except text based ones like Lynx on Linux.

SavageSeasons

Both are compromised anyway.

Just post the original article

Dortex

The original seems to cite an anonymous "source". It's all bullshit.

tecuani

Go for completely free implementations like Basilisk or Falkon. Those will only start censoring at browser-level when it becomes the law in the USA or EU, so probably about five years from now.

Thanks for the recommendations, I'll certainly have a look.

Hijacking this post to ask if anyone has a mirror to this video? https://i.imgur.com/VeVY6XM.png

Brave is chrome-based but I'm almost certain it doesn't allow this type of coded-level bullshit.

including their partner, DuckDuckGo. . -kiked

ANannyMouse

I didn't see Duckduckgo mentioned in the article at all. I didn't know they were partners with Google, I thought they were competing. Why is it so hard to escape their reach...

Joooooooz

DuckDuckGo.. -kiked

I had no idea. Is there any decent search engine that isn't?

I hear a lot about brave, I really do prefer FF, I have an extension that does things with tabs that chrome wont/didnt support. (Tree Style Tabs (It's pure heaven))

KosherHiveKicker

I was the same way as well. I installed Brave just to check it out and kept FireFox for awhile as a back up.

After a few weeks I never looked back, even with the lack of add-ons for Brave. I still would never go back.

RebelJohnny

Lack of add-ones? You can install any extension from the chrome web store.
