Twitter is down on day of Trump's social media summit ( conspiracy )

submitted 2019-07-11T20:35 by AphexTim

I posted this in technology as well -

Just seems like an odd coincidence to me.

According to their official status page https://status.twitterstat.us/

It is because, "The outage was due to an internal configuration change, which we're now fixing."

Seems like a pretty vague statement if you ask me.

In the past few weeks here is who went down - google, apple, microsoft, facebook.. and now twitter. Oh yeah cloud-fare, stripe and slack.

Just my conspiracy side coming out but if you were going to plan a worldwide internet outage (or the appearance of one) you could test your ability to take down individual services first and then take them all down at once.

Thoughts/comments? I mean if we lost all social media it would be like living in the 90s again.
