Just an idea, maybe it's because ISIS stands for Israeli Secret Intelligence Service? But I like the occult idea. Isis was the mother of Osiris, the Egyptian equivalent of Christ.

ISIS, ISIL, IS whatever they call it they are funded, led, and supported by the USA. They ARE our foreign policy. Not only that but just about all radical extreamist militias in the Middle East since the radicalization of the Mujahedeen in Afghanistan in an effort to combat the Soviets influence in the region, have been tools of the US

I think it's supposed to be a play at calling them inferior. Maybe it is similar to when Usama Bin Landen was always referenced as Osama. Just an idea.

But then again, there was also a credit company called ISIS but since the "outbreak" of the militia they have now changed to SoftCard...

I think it has to do with him calling ISIS "the JV team" last year. Now that they are showing themselves to be a major threat, he has to call them by a different name to distance himself from his statements. Doublespeak at its finest.

major threat

Oh really?

Lol, ok we can argue this in another thread, but your questioning is valid. IMO, anyone can be a threat in today's world. You don't have to be large or even well funded... ISIS is devoted. Right now theyre looking at equipping toy drones with bombs and using them against civilians in the U.S. I view that as a MAJOR threat. Just one successful attack in that manner would cause a huge panic.

I personally think eastasia is more of a threat.
