I chalked this story up to a wildly eccentric gun hoarder. I've known several, some who were medical doctors and not stupid.

I reasoned that no "real government agent" would be so stupid as to waste money on that many small arms. Then I thought about the CIA drug trade.

Follow The Money. Maintaining 12 vehicles in California takes serious money. Heck, even keeping the lights and water on in a condo in Pacific Palisades takes serious money. I have a share in a not-great condo crashpad in nearby Irvine that cost a minimum of $2,500 per month to keep running with insurance, HOA, utilities, etc.

Where does a crazy, unemployed gun hoarder get $3,000 every month of the year?

[sarc] You know how crazy people usually amass millions of dollars worth of property.

You know how severe cases of Paranoid Schizophrenia so frequently result in the sufferer becoming wealthy.[/sarc]

Basically this guy told everyone he was a secret agent. He dies of cancer in his girlfriend of 17yrs car of end stage cancer in a grocery store parking lot. They try to ice him down doesn't work. She drives his body over a few streets and left him expecting whoever was tracking him to find him and went to Oregon with another woman who went missing to go with her boss (same lady no one realized it until now) comes back 2 weeks later car is still there and they call it in. Then they find 1200 guns and 2 tons of ammo in their house. None of it adds up. They didnt know his name and now it's bob smith or something. Nothing adds up. Oh yeah. She has a mega attorney and is not charged.
