it says on my maxwell house ingredients: pure coffee

what is pure coffee? should be just beans? sounds like corporate buzzwords, why not say coffee beans, the FDA probably let's it have a certain amount of rat droppings and shit like that. A google search shows many sources saying corn and other shit is in it and they tested coffee to prove it so this is hardly some crazy conspiracy theory.

The only way to avoid this for sure is to buy beans and grind them yourself. You will get a better tasting cup from the fresh bring also!

Here's a copy of the post:

For about the last five years cheaper/store brand coffee has had a off flavor. I think they might be adding unpopped popcorn thats been hit with concentrated coffee. I say this because the coffee has the flavor of an unpopped kernel. It has the coffee flavor but also the corn flavor. At first it was just really cheap coffee. As time has gone on The flavor is creeping into the Maxwell and Folgers price point. I've moved on to making my own blend to avoid the corn flavor. I think the coffee is being cut with roasted corn kernels to increase profits. After the corn or the "cut" is blasted with concentrate and processed like the coffee beans it would be difficult to tell except the flavor is off. I've used different coffee pot's to see if it was a dirty coffee maker but I had the same results. Has anyone else found coffee has changed? Perhaps it's a different bean being used by manufacturers.

If it could be proven true, a class action suite would make a few lawyers obscenely wealthy, and would likely mean the end of Kraft Heinz / J.M. Smucker.
