If voat stays invite only forever. Thats what it would seem. The sooner they can get rid of that; the better.

A lot of them are the same shills from reddit. Same usernames and everything. A good portion of the voat community is willing to converse though and I really like that.

You're right.

/r/conspiracy was good until about 2 years ago, when it had a sudden influx of users and certain buzzwords attracted the downvotes and the brigades (hasbara and others).

The /r/conspiracy mods tried to deal with it, but I think the reddit mods made it so much easier for the brigades/trolling to continue.

The bottom line is reddit is over and the better users on /r/conspiracy (I see some of them here) should join Voat.

Reddit is beyond hope, I would have left it even if Voat didnt exist. So far, things seem much better here but only time will tell what this site will be like in the future.

Redshit, despite its many flaws, had a lot of influence, as it was spreading information. Divide and conquer kinda happened.

I am totally cool with keeping invite only on for, another few weeks to a month. I don't think we need to be in this rush to balloon into massive size.

Agreed, what I really like is that the stuff that on reddit is only allowed in the conspiracy sub is allowed in the news sub in voat. People being able to discuss things is a really nice breath of fresh air.

I would tell you to tag me on it, but that is not active yet. I have an account that has been here for 3 months, and the site has been active for over a year. So, idk, I think we are safe, Atko has been pretty open so far, so if in 6 months we don't know what is going on, I would be worried.
