Googling around for this topic comes with its fair share of crap; I was wondering if anyone has a good compilation of resources about MKULTRA, or at least a place to start.

Jan Irvin does the best work on MK-Ultra. He digs up the primary documentation. I took out to lunch once. He nicer in person than he sounds on audio. :-)
