I’m in Australia, but I was born and raised in Europe. I received a TOP education, based on knowledge, research and thinking || writing. The amount of work was not funny for a kid, but today I’m grateful. There was none of this “don’t do it if you’re not good at it” type of bullshit.

Here in Aus. I witness what they’re putting my kids through: political correctness indoctrination and “fun” activities. No homework whatsoever, no research. Kids don’t learn to read (up to year 4 in some cases) unless their parents teach them. Unambitious Math, History from hollywood movies, consumer-based IT instead of production-based, no Science, no Philosophy, no Literature, no Geography, the rest is value-shaping political correctness indoctrination...

It’s scary. And so, so sad.

the amount of homework coupled with the nonsensical way they teach things is definitely harming the students that are trying.
