The story of the Union of Salvation drives me crazy ( conspiracy )

submitted 2019-12-18T21:05 by Conspirologist

The popular version of the revolt of 1825 in Russia against the Zar is very brief. It is said that some of the military who called themselves the Union of Salvation decided to revolt against the Zar in December of 1825. They failed. Some died during the fight, some were executed and some were sent in exile. I find it quite stupid that all these people openly attacked the Zar, instead of just murdering him. It is way easier to murder the Zar alone, instead of starting an open war against him. All these people were professional military, it looks strange that they were unable to conceive a good strategy instead of dying mindlessly. Also, I think that French masonry was involved, since the Union of Salvation was started right after the Russians won the war against Napoleon and spent some time in Paris.
