Where did the false conspiracy about the Salem witch trials being about "evil white men doing evil things to women" come from? ( conspiracy )

I just got off the phone with a relative who repeated this nonsense to me, and she is insisting that she knows this to be true to a religious degree.

I went to school around the same time as this woman, and we repeatedly heard about the Salem witch trials, and this make-believe narrative wasnt so much as tangentially suggested as having anything to do with the trials.

This is the only person I've ever heard so much as conjecture that the Salem witch trials were anything related to contemporary American politics. Where did this false conspiracy start?

First off what leads you to label this a false conspiracy, make believe narrative, etc? It is not a new tactic to accuse someone of the threat of the day in order to eliminate them, further your own cause or to acquire their holdings. Today it's Russian puppet, anti semite and terrorist. During the MacCarthy era it was communist.

When I looked into this years ago one writer suggested this accusation may have been used as the quickest divorce strategy without angering the catholic church.

It's a false conspiracy because there's nothing to suggest it happened and the conspiracy appeared out of thin air during a political climate that "happens" to have the same exact narrative

But my take on Salem is; if there were no witches in Salem and the trial was without just cause, then why do witches venerate the place as a shrine to witchcraft? Therefore there really were witches in the puritan colony and this plauge has been with us right from the get go. Kabbala kikes
