You should stop using an ISP too, because they keep a list of everything you look at. Not gonna do that now are we?

SpeakYourTruth

I agree 100%, far too many people are just overwhelmed by the whole situation that they crawl into a hole rather than try to tackle the issues head on. IMO the most important thing we can do right now is spread the info we know with legitimate sources as a way of reaching critical mass, where nearly everyone is aware of the corruption going on at the highest levels and finally take a real stand thru mass protests and criminal indictments for any and all offenders against humanity.

ElectricParkour

How would one live without a cellphone? You'd almost be shunned by society for not being connected in that way.

EllenPaosEgo

That is the issue, we have a more modern version of Orwells telescreen. It is mobile and tracks your location amd people will shame you for not carrying a telescreen as well.

deathcomesilent

Yeah I'm thrilled that they're forcing all the smart users off windows. It's gonna be really easy to find smart people once "what OS do you use?" becomes the detecting question.

deathcomesilent

I had very little trouble getting rid of my cards. Far too many people are addicted to the convenience.

batcountryharlot

I didn't update. I'm still on Windows 7.

CatManDew

Take it as you wish, but another user described some of the Win10 issues in the comment below.

Some, yes. But missed the big ones like keylogging and accessing emails. He also has the classic "this isn't new, other companies do it too!" Is NOT an excuse. If anything it should be used to spread awareness and shame and bring attention these other companies.

CatManDew

True, he did miss some of the larger issues as you mentioned. And I 100% agree that this would be made well aware for all users. Even more interesting is the effect that Win10 may have on large companies.

Example: I work for a large company (in the United States) and just yesterday there was a memo sent about updating to Win10 within a year (which is odd b/c we and many other similar companies use so many legacy applications, I'm still stuck on IE7!). The real surprising thing is, that most conspire don't roll out a new OS for a while after its launch; I mean just 3 years ago we got 7, which was about 2.5 years after its release.

Makes me kinda wonder if this is being implemented so quickly to help "catch" whistleblowers. Or at least something seems a little fishy about the quick OS upgrade.

sec

Yup, I have Win 8.1 at home, and the windows train stops there. Won't be too much longer until thats replaced with Ubuntu some GNU/Linux software.

Seriously the ONLY reason I have windows is for games, and as you get older they become nearly irrelevant. (Hearthstone and HOTS work on a macbook :D what else do you need!)

SpeakYourTruth

Haha I'm in the same boat brotha, except with win 7. Can't wait for that hearthstone expansion release!

madmalloy

You'd have to get the game makers to change too or they will continue to sucker the marks in.

Veridic

No. You just need to buy Linux games instead of Windows. When enough people do it, game developers will switch. Also, the steam box is a Linux distribution, so valve is already headed that way.

The real problem is getting windows out of the business world.
