They don't know what happened at Auschwitz. All they have to go on is the Holocaust mythology, plus a few very questionable "eye-witness" accounts of life inside the camps. But what most people don't realize is that those held prisoner at Auschwitz had no idea of what was going on -- all they got were rumors spread by other prisoners, like the "bars of soap made from human fat" lie. Add to that the fact that many, of not most, of these "eyewitnesses" were not tellling the truth, either because they deliberately lied, or because they were deluded and hysterical.
