So far, the death to recovery rate is about 50%. If this keeps up, perhaps it should be renamed "Thaos virus".

Maybe it is designed to lay dormant for an extra long time to allow more spreading before becoming deadly or only kill off the weak old and young, who knows.

I think this is highly likely, since I've never heard of a virus/flu that has such an insanely long incubation period while being contagious.

A bioweapon could be engineered to mutate, if so that mutation could significantly up the fatality rate.
