A lot of the purpose of Event 201 was to show how they would control the spread of information about the spread of the disease. They had actors playing media personalities talking about shutting down social media and controlling media outlets to make sure that "disinformation" wasn't being spread. It's basically a playbook for how they will use this virus or some future one to centralize media even more and shut down what they can't control... free speech is seriously endangered.

Also, as you point out, there's been tons of predictive programming around this virus. I think it's been in the works for quite a while.
