Fuck the romans

GhostRyder

big pile of cognitive dissonance there friend.

large stinky, and running down the side of the bowl.

My dad passed away April 2008. The summer of 2007 he compared the US to Rome and that we will fall exactly as they did.

Conspirologist

If you research the 60s - 70s, there were already articles and songs comparing US to Rome.

Society is progressing technologically, but socially it's degenerating.

Correct. The decline of Christianity coincides with the rise of pornography, perversion, violence, and corruption. And our technological progress is slowing down more every year. We are building little gadgets these days, not radically new technologies. We can't send men to the Moon, something we did in 1969. We are falling backwards into barbarism, but most people haven't realized it.

I'm listening to a podcast series on it now. The Fall of Rome Podcast by Patrick Wyman.

True, and it happened even earlier in ancient Egypt. Read the story of Joseph from the bible. He went to Egypt and used a famine to completely strip the native population of their grain, livestock, and property.

downton-stabby

Uh no he told pharaoh that there would be 7 years of feast and 7 of famine. He told them to stock up while they could and they did. He helped save Egypt and his own family. They had enough to export to others as well. Fuck out of here with your lies.

UKD

During the feast years he told the population he would store their grain for them, then when the famine hit he charged the people for their own food. Once he had their currency, they had no way to pay for more the next year, so he took in their livestock in exchange for grain. The year after that he sold back the livestock for the farmland the people lived on. Their lands became property of the state. In the end the pharaoh/Joseph owned all the land. The people become essentially serfs on what was formerly their own land.

pitenius

Fun fact: the story of Joseph occurred before the introduction of currency. In fact, food was currency. Taken at face value, the story means that Joseph saved the Pharaoh from pissing away a surplus on public works and enabled a continuity of government through a famine.

More fun: Egypt flooded every year and land was only held on one year contracts from temples. The land that doesn't flood wouldn't produce grain. That's where temples, tombs, and workshops were. The fields were remeasured and leased each year because landmarks were washed away.

Funny.. if they hid it then why did they portray the Jews getting their asses enslaved time and time again when turning from God? Why did they include Jesus telling the Jews they were the children of Satan and that they would not inherit the kingdom of God? Why did they talk shit about him in their Talmud? The story falls apart as you try to explain it. Why do modern day Jews require you to turn from Christianity if you want to become a citizen? Because you're wrong.

UKD

How can they be the children of Satan and God's chosen people? Surely that's a contradiction.

downton-stabby

Jesus explains this in the bible. They aren't. God's people have him in their heart. We're all sons of Abraham, but the chosen people are the ones who follow him.

Romans 2:25-29

25 For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision.

26 Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?

27 And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law?

28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:

29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

UKD

So was the promise to Abraham a lie then?

Christianity says to turn the other cheek, love your enemy, and give unto Caesar what is Caesar's. Meanwhile the Jewish religion says they're destined to rule the world. The two work together.

capnflummox

turn the other cheek

Did you research this phrase? I think this thread topic is relevant, no? IIRC, it was offensive in Roman times to 'show your cheek' to someone [of higher rank/authority]. Therefore this, 'turn the other cheek' is a highly offensive (combative) thing to do.

Love your enemy can easily be translated into the old "keep your friends close, and your enemies closer".

Give unto caesar... "just rewards"...

pby1000

Have you researched the Serpent Seed Doctrine?

Where does Christianity say to turn the other cheek, love your enemy, and give unto Caesar?

"...the Jewish religion says..." Why do you believe them?

Well, the Jews are not the master religion. Don't believe the lies.

downton-stabby

No we are Abraham's descendants. For a time God had a covenant with the Jews, and that covenant was replaced by Jesus. There were people who were God's children as well. God instructed the Jews not to attack or hurt them during that time.

God instructed his people to kill people plenty. Jesus took a whip to the money changers in the synagogue. Read your history. Christians did both good and evil, but they were anything but weak. They killed, they raided, they protected. The holy wars kept Islam at bay for many years.

Want an even bigger dig?

The state religion Constantine packaged is part and parcel of the great falling away 2Thes.2 declares and warns of. And that mother harlot religion gave birth to little daughter whores called Orthodox and PROTESTANTS.
