I've heard news that many of the larger telescopes and observatories are suddenly shutting down or closed off.

Covid 19 is being used as an excuse.

I think it has something to do with the Atlas comet.

It's said to be breaking apart, but is it really a comet?

Why the sudden lockdown on the observation telescopes?

What is really heading to our sun?

The comet already passed the earths plane supposedly on their simulator.

TBH the data seems a little wonky though before the comet was between earth and mercury and now it's between earth and mars.

If the comet broke up that means it could be send some shit towards earth the next time around in a few hundred/thousand years.
