Interview with a vampire..

SturmUndTrinker

The Mandela effect is because some people above a certain age remember some black guy (Steven Biko) died in prison in South Africa, then this other black guy (Mandela) was released from prison and elected president.

Mandela?, Hey, I thought that guy died.

blumen4alles

Mandela spent 27 years in prison too. 27 is a huge clue...

Conspirologist

Thanks a lot. I've missed this info. Looks like they chose Mandela because he was not a socialist.

blumen4alles

I think you are over-simplifying it.

Now if you said it is because we are in a simulation and the sim is glitching, that makes more sense.

crazy_eyes

its simply faulty memory of people

blumen4alles

The same faulty memory, exactly the same, shared by many many many people?

Nope, not buying that BS.

Berenstein Bears. I have a photographic memory, words are pictures in my mind. I was very obsessed with correct spelling when I was a kid. No way would I mess that up, reading those books so often.

ThatFnGuy

I used to have trouble spelling/pronouncing Berenstein, as I would sometimes put the "i" before the "e" (pronouncing it would either be "stine" or "steen"). Parents helped remedy this by referring to our fav restaurant at the time, Steer and Stein. The thought of going to eat at Steer and Stain is amusing.

Thank you, I have heard several stories like this.
