Ulterior motives for getting us used to wearing masks? ( conspiracy )

Looks like the beer virus is turning out no deadlier than a normal seasonal flu. But still the economic shutdown, social distancing, and general sense of hysteria remain.

I went to the grocery store today and noticed about 75% of people were wearing masks, which would normally be very rare to see in the U.S. even during a "bad" flu season.

Funny enough, the CDC just a few weeks ago said wearing a mask won't help, and now they are strongly encouraging it. Any theories as to why this might be?

What is the benefit to the NWO to get people conditioned to wearing masks out in public?

Incompetence and attempts to cover their ass.

Masks do help, everybody knows this and so does the CDC. What they needed was for people to not panic purchase PPE so that healthcare workers would not have to compete with the general public for the limited supply.

Now some time has passed, reported infections and deaths are up, and they realize that they need some kind of face covering on people and their time of plausible deniability's up so… Wear a mask, everybody. Whatever they managed to get for the healthcare workers up until that point will have to do.

Also, it's not that people in the US don't wear a mask during regular, even "bad" flu seasons because they don't help… It's because people are stupid and stubborn.

Other countries do have the cultural norm of "you wear a mask when you're sick" along with "you just wear a mask regardless, when it's flu season."

You should wear a mask when you are sick, and you should have been before this year, anyway.

"But I'm not sick!"

One of the key characteristics of the current pandemic is a very long incubation period during which people may remain asymptomatic and still able to spread the disease. Until everybody can test themselves in their home every morning, you don't know whether you're sick or not. So be considerate, and wear a mask.

If it helps you feel better, remember that governments around the world hate masks with a passion, and many of them have passed or tried passed anti-mask laws To help them be able to identify people who take part in protests and other actions that the government doesn't approve of.

Masks are uncomfortable as fuck and hard to breathe through. If the stupid grocery shops just could do deliveries I wouldn't even have to go outside at all.

Nothing, they don't want us to wear masks. In many places it was illegal to wear masks because it made it harder to identify which nigger was robbing you. They want mass surveillance and facial recognition software sot hat computers can watch and track everyones movements all the time fully automated.

If there is some alternate agenda to the masks, I think it's to convince people to BUY the masks and stockpile them. I guarantee that most preppers are going to have a few boxes of masks after all this is over. If there's an nwo reason for this it would be because they envision the enemy using biological weapons against us in a war down the road.

That is a very serious possibility. We where hit by a Bio-weapon. We have no idea of the REAL seriousness of the situation. We have no real information about the long term impact of this Virus. Does it contain a surprise?

Facial recognition software isn't all that important nowadays, since everyone carries a tracking device with them, that can be listened in on.

Good observation. As time passe the people need to be constantly reminded how Dangerous the situation is... If you want the population to be compliant. That the situation with this virus is serious or not doesn't matter. What matter is the perception of danger.
