Outside of Imperial College there isn't much showing those high-death stats.

I will check. People who do simulations know that initial conditions are important. If the virus started from one location, then the spread will proceed a certain way. If the virus spread from many locations, then it will spread in a completely different manner.

If the virus is naturally occurring, then it is still in nature, as far as I know, but China lifted their quarantine in January. Beijing was neve under quarantine, which is odd.
