Of course it is. Those same Zionists that have thousands of nukes in the West and hundreds in Israel. And in all honesty, why can't the Iranians have nukes if they want them? Heck every other bugger has them.

CarlosShyamalan

Its gonna be Iraq all over again. Israeli bombers destroying laboratories, centrifuges and reactors just because they can.

WxGH0STxW

I think 'Zionists' is like a new version of the game "seven degrees of Kevin Bacon". If you dig deep enough you can come up with a way to blame zionists for everything ever.

Dysnomia

I actually think Iran is pursuing nuclear weapons. They don't need nuclear energy. Nuclear medicine maybe.

I'm anti nuke for the record. I also don't think Iran wants nukes for any reason other than as a deterrent. The neocolonialists aren't stupid enough to destabilize nuclear countries.

HitlerIsBlack

The only reason for building Uranium power plants is to make nuclear material for weapons. Otherwise they would be pursuing other kinds of nuclear power plants.

Dysnomia

And they have tons of fossil fuels. They want nukes.

Thank E.T. for watching over our nukes.

33degree

Iran has had Russian nukes since the 70s...

COUSCOUS

First I have heard of that one. Is the intell from Mossad?

giskard

Yeah, never mind the huge uranium enrichment centers that they built underground. Tell the Ayatollah I said hey the next time he hands you your knee pads.

NeptuneRises

You realise Iran has research reactors right? for creating isotopes and other materials for medical research. They need highly enriched uranium. Also, their goal of moving to renewable energy source and turning their oil into exports makes perfect economic sense. Too much sense for the comfort of other potentially smaller economies in the region who seek to maintain a hegemony there.

Dysnomia

Nuclear isn't renewable.

NeptuneRises

It is practically speaking, renewable. we won't run out of uranium to use in a million years.

Dysnomia

But technically, we could accidentally use a small amount of uranium to wipe humanity off the face of the planet.

Fukushima isn't looking too good lately. Humans are prone to error. I'd rather have errors that can be cleaned up within generations.

giskard

Nobody hides as many centrifuges in the configurations that they were using in underground bunkers, unless there is a military intent. I haven't even touched on laser isotope separation facilities, which are much easier to hide. Why else would they stonewall the IAEA on numerous occasions, complete with attempting to hide activities at nuclear facilities? I understand that other countries in the region have done the same thing, and I would agree that those issues need to be addressed. If the Iranians really want to be seen as forging peaceful initiatives, they need to stop the deliberate misdirection. It isn't lending them any credibility in the international sphere.

garryorlarry

Well, perhaps they hide them because Israel has a tendency to sabotage every one it can get its hands on?

Zodi

No, why the fuck WOULDN'T a country persue nuclear weaponry at this point? If a country is in a war, especially in the middle east, they want nukes to threaten others.

This is not zionist propaganda, this is real life. Hell, did you even read up on the fucking iran deal?

RedHawk

I don't think that's how the Iranians see it, to them their only real enemy is the Zionist regime (they don't see Americans as their enemies), if they use nuclear weapons on Occupied Palestine it would destroy the land and endanger millions of other Muslims. The fallout would also potentially reach Iran.

They're not psychotic and crazy tribal racists like the Israelis (who have the Samson option), so they might try and find other methods of destroying the Israeli regime without nuclear weapons (e.g. supporting proxy resistant fighters like Hezbollah and Hamas). If the Middle East is ever destroyed by a nuclear bomb it would definitely be the Israelis doing it, the Arabs and Muslims don't follow that kind of fanatic ideology of destroying the world no matter what Hollywood wants us to believe.
