I noticed that something was wrong with the Republicans during the Obama Administration, when they had control of the Senate (or maybe it was the House) but refused to block Obama's illegal moves, because -- they said -- it might harm their chances in the upcoming midterm election. I remember thinking at the time, "What the fuck? Do something." They could have stopped Obama but they did nothing at all. And they have done nothing ever since. It's like they are paralysed.
