what irritates me the most is that sports 'journalism' brings sports as if it is news, while it clearly is entertainment. News bulletins are interwoven with sports. Imagine the news being interrupted with the latest hollywood gossip. This would surely bring down the credibility of the news program. Sports however seems to have the opposite effect.

Great article. Mentioning that you don't like sports these days is akin to mentioning that you don't believe the government's account of 9/11. You get that same aghast look.
