A lot of the registered users on voat are already 'sock puppet' accounts just have a look at the numbers, a lot reg here not expecting the algorithms to limit the circlejerk, once they realized they did limit, the attacks began.

This is a net net positive sign.

I really hate that they incorporated in the US and put us right in bed with the NSA fuckery. It's like they don't even read their own front page and don't take the level of gov't evil in the US seriously and the war it is waging on its own people. Sure we're allowed to say anything but it's all being attributed to us and saved in our permanent files and that will send me away from any aggregated site and just visit individual ones. I'm tired of being tracked in every way, every day.

I guess the 'pressure from above' got too much , every swiss forum dev has his price man... humans.

Knowing from reddit's recent dataset dump how much metadata is attached to our comments - first and foremost IP-address-doxxing - no. That's not okay.

You set up a Warrant Canary and then stop updating it after they mess with you. Firstlook has one you can download called AutoCanary . https://www.canarywatch.org/ is an organization that tracks warrant canary stats and links to transparency reports.

Voat needs one too.

I wonder if having Voat as Voat Inc in the US was the best route to take.

It was the best call if you're one of the owners.

All the better to monetize you with, my dear .

motherfucker

By continually saying you haven't , until you have.

Once you stop saying that, then people know.

No. They fear getting one. So when that post comes down, it means they have, at that point, gotten one.
