About Win10 data collection ( conspiracy )

Im just sitting here reading about the enormous ammount of data windows 10 is collecting from its users, and considering there are about 1.5 billion computers expected to run windows10 by 2017... What in the world could you need so much data for?

Unless you are using Linux, your OS is probably collecting data from your machine. If you use a phone, it is collecting data on your usage. Windows purports to use the data to provide a better service. I think that is likely the actual truth. Sure it could also be some black ops agency back-end, but why would they need Microsoft for that?

You're not reading the right articles if you don't know what they want the data for.

It's all about providing better services.

They're collecting data about how people use their computers.

Instead of just guessing or using a user submitted reviews from tens, hundreds, thousands, or however many people used to write in about their experiences, they're aiming for potentially quadrillions of data points from over a billion users.

Imagine knowing, precisely and quantifiably, what the biggest issues with your product are.

Active Intel chips are far more common than Windows 10 installs will ever be.
