Can mindless robotic NPCs be sociopaths? Does sociopathy always contain an element of independent thinking and self-determinization? Even if so -- even if all sociopaths are independent thinkers -- it does not logically follow that all independent thinkers are sociopaths. However it may be that individuals who are part of the hive mind -- who always acquiesce to the will of the majority and never allow themselves to stand out from the crowd -- it may be that such individuals can never be sociapaths.

They overused "Nazi" and "Racist" so nobody blinks an eye when called these names. They are just trying some new ones out to try and shame people. They don't realize people no longer care what you call them.

2 way street.

If a society exists, and it is ordained somehow to be functional and well adjusted, anyone rebelling against it would in fact be, as described, a Sociopath.

HOWEVER....

What if that society has degraded, let us even say it has lost its goddamned collective mind, gone completely insane and become detrimental to all who support it....

If that occurs, what would someone need to become to remain well adjusted and functional?

A Sociopath.
