OT but now that pizzagate is wide open, we have to wonder, was Kurt celebrating spirit cooking when wrote "Smells Like Teen Spirit"?

Likely not - they were all super poor, unsigned except for a weak Sub-pop contract with no real distribution until the album was done. The album before, bleach, was recorded for $600 and a McDonalds tab.

Things took a dark turn between the release of Nevermind and subsequent albums, and Courtney came out of nowhere with an album that sounded like Kurt wrote it. This is where the « suicidal tendencies » stories began to circulate, and I can’t find a source other than Courtney for those (no band meme bears, friends, etc).

If I had to guess, the powers that be descended on Nirvana 1992-93 and their extortion began around then. Courtney was on board from the beginning but Kurt had reservations. At this same time, Pearl Jam was kinda big but seemed to be de-listed after the summer of “10”, likely because they didn’t take the leap to fame, and neither did soundgarden.

Bleach was probably my favorite Nirvana album thinking back. Didn't know that it was on a 600$ budget wow.

Hole put on a good show back in the 90s. never got a chance to see Nirvana before the end.

I should check my old CD to see who the writer is credited as for the song. There was alot of amazing fucking music in the 90s Alice in Chains, KMFDM, Soundgarden, etc nowadays it's all pop shit.
