Here's a simple analogy I like to use. One time I saw a shoe commercial. And this commercial painted the picture of every possible "bad" toe shapes and curves and different types of feet and how it was all a result of not wearing the right shoe. If you went into their store they would fix the problem for you. Then i thought about it, they covered every possible shape of toes and shape of curves on feet and said they were bad and unhealthy. Its no different with head specialist. Every possible combination of what goes on in the head has been categorized and proclaimed to be bad but you guessed it, if you go to them and help pay off their student loan debt you'll be okay. I assume you've heard of the Rosenhan experiment that was conducted in the early 1970s? If not, below is the Wiki link, but I am sure there are more in-depth websites or papers out there about it. TL;DR version - test subjects faked mental issues, went to numerous mental hospitals and then acted normal, all were diagnosed with different disorders ever though symptoms were all the same.
