M take:

Trump is playing both sides, and both sides of this battle are obliged to sing Trump's praises while they battle each other. Which ever side wins is the side he will say he was always on.

So the Q character and that movement are real, but they HAVE to make it look like Trump is still the leader so as to not set the country into to much turmoil. The status quo power structure does not want to upset the country either because they want to retain that power. To the status quo group, it makes no sense to destroy that country that gives you so much power.

With this in mind, the House committee is part of the status quo group and they want to silence and cut communication lines between the population that is starting to follow the Q stuff. Either way, Trump is going to be re-elected.
