If they actually do try the whole alien-invasion thing I don't know that I'll be able to stop laughing before Christmas.

makes perfect sense, just seems like a huge jump in scale from fake planes to spaceships and aliens... and they'll have to make it an awfully big spectacle. the masses won't believe big media, they'll have to plant thousands of people with cell phone footage. not that it can't be done, just seems like such a desperate long-shot.
