Granted, I mean, let's think for a minute. . . Like this is straight up devil's advocate but bear with it. Humanity needs the balance of good and evil or else society will crumble. Regardless of which side ever "wins" once a "True Peace" is earned, it creates a dystopia. So maybe it's just natural for society to always be in conflict or else society itself can not exist. Think of it like Light and Shadow, shadows don't exist unless their is light and can a light exist if it has nothing to bounce off of? Meaning if society were to sway in one direction or another the stagnation of such a society would lead it to crumble, hence why we are constantly at each others necks, because to achieve true peace would mean to destroy society itself.
