Are these elite powerful people just think of their bad deeds as a sacrifice, in order to achieve their good deeds?

They would justify their deeds just like anyone else. It is easier to think of it this way, think of the stuff you lust over, now multiply that by a 100, plus flexiable liability. They can be really bad or really good.
