I did my four years. Saw the world. Lived in wonderful places. But being in the military? Not my thing. And not once did I have an officer I respected or admired. Got he hell out. Life renewed.

It's all politics. My friend has an MBA and has applied 3 times for officer. Each time "You're not the right fit" while another less qualified "friend" gets the gig.
